About DarkWake
Shaping the Future of Maritime Autonomy
DarkWake develops advanced autonomous systems that secure, inspect, and protect marine environments. Our Unmanned Hive Drone (UHV) combines air, surface, and sub-surface vehicles within a single self-deploying unit, powered by HiveCore AI.
What began as a marine engineering project has evolved into a new class of autonomous platform — one that brings military-grade awareness to commercial, industrial, and environmental applications.
Our Vision
To make every waterway smarter, safer, and self-reliant through connected autonomy.
DarkWake’s goal is to replace manual patrols, inspections, and recovery operations with intelligent, always-on systems that can adapt to any mission — from port security to offshore energy, Canal Estates and marina management to defense.
History
Darkwake began in 2016 with the conception and prototyping of a USV built for security and surveillance. Early trials validated demand but exposed a core limitation of surface-only perception: computer-vision accuracy deteriorated in chop, reducing confidence for recognition and tracking. That insight shaped our architecture and de-risked the product roadmap.
We solved the constraint by integrating a stabilized UAV feed into the USV’s navigation stack, delivering reliable situational awareness and mission continuity. With today’s step-change in AI perception and planning, the platform now supports higher autonomy, broader missions, and lower operating cost—creating a compelling wedge into ports, marinas, oil & gas, and critical-infrastructure protection. We’re positioned to commercialize quickly: clear problem–solution fit, and timing tailwinds as autonomy budgets accelerate.
